HOW DOES BLEACHING WORK?

Bleaching is used frequently in aesthetic dentistry. It doesn’t harm and also cleans the unwanted spots on the teeth.

 

Bleaching should be done under control of a dentist. Bleaching is not recommended for patients; that are under 15, who has sensitivity on the teeth, with open root surfaces due to gingival recession, with cavities, with thin enamel structures or that have unstructured teeth.
There are two types of bleaching procedures

Office type bleaching: One hour session which is controlled by a dentist.

Home type bleaching : 15 minutes to 6 hours home sessions for 5 to 10 days with dental plaques prepared specially for the patient.

In addition, internal method called internal bleaching can be applied to teeth after root canal treatment.
